[jawsscripts] Re: GetScreenXML possible use cases?

The impression I have regarding the display driver is that Windows 8
doesn't leave FS a lot of choice in the matter.

And yes, GetScreenXML() returns a string that you may then parse via
the XML DOM or, if you prefer, JAWS string commands. I'm not yet sure
if the data in that string represents the whole screen or part of it,
foreground apps or current app or something else, or if it works in
all settings and application types.

Their sample script does enstantiate the MSXML DOM.
So may still be heavyweight... I suppose you could just feed the XML into a
string, but then you still have to parse it with JAWS string functions which
would not be a lot of fun.

As for the JAWS cursor and the OSM, Windows 8 is changing the display driver
again. My take from the latest Eric Damery podcast is its more limited than
ever. Bbut then again, day to day uses may not notice a lot of difference.

Oh, I should have red further, this is already using the MSXML DOM, so no need
to create a new instance.
