There is a known issue with the JAWS script editor and the function
description dialog. I don't know if they fixed it in JAWS 10.
Parameter descriptions can not be edited in the Control D dialog. They can
only have descriptions at time of creation. The other thing is that any
modification to the general tab page wipes out all parameter descriptions.

When u hit ctrl d, ctrl tab once to the parameters tab. Here u can
modify parameters passed to functions.
