I posted a very detailed report recently on ways to incorporate custom script functionality into various JAWS versions. I think it was to this list, but I seem unable to find it just now. In summary: JAWS 14 allows an easier way to override and still use a script set: just Use it with the same name. JAWS 13 allows you to include a full path in a Use line, but upgrading JAWS and using Merge can cause weird problems with that approach. For any other JAWS version, the copy/rename/use approach allows the most script flexibility. The MyExtensions thing works as long as you don't need to intercept events, but if you need to do that, that approach is not enough. Is there a similar layering method do the same thing for other application scripts, such as Internet Explorer and Firefox? My scripts that extend the scripts for these applications currently use Jamal's merge method with JAWS Script Exchange. While this has worked great, it basically requires the user to reinstall the scripts after every update. If there is no MyExtensions method for applications, has anyone found a way to simplify updating the _fs.jsb files after an update? -- *Don Marang* Vinux Package Development Coordinator - vinuxproject.org <http://www.vinuxproject.org/> __________???
