Hi Martin
I can not detect the text changing.
Do you know a good way of doing this?
It is the bottom line of the window I am after (Insert page down)
Thanks,
Cheers, Daniel

Daniel,

I will assume you can detect the text changing. You could then launch the ScheduleFunction function to cause speech to occur after a delay whose duration you can choose. Presumably you will check within the scheduled function whether you have pressed a "cancel" key, then call ScheduleFunction again if you want the speech to be repeated after another delay.

Look in the FSDN or press shift+f1 while your insertion point is on the function name in Script Manager to see more details of any function.

Subject: [jawsscripts] New text event

Hi,

I am wanting to read the bottom line of a window if it changes.
For example if it says receiving 3 of 20 I want jfw to automatically say this.
But I want it to only talk every 8 seconds if something has changed.
Does anyone know how I could do this?

Thanks for any help,
