Not sure what system you are running so this is a shot gun type approach.

Unless you need to hear everything you type, go into the basic settings for 
Jaws and set it so the key echo is off.  Then get rid of the all highlighted 
or you'll hear everything on the screen any time there is a change.

If the clock doesn't go away, you'll need to make that change in the control 
panel.  I'm an XP fan still and to change the clock there go to task bar and 
start menu options.  Make sure the box is not checked that says show the 
clock.
