Gc: WinDig & bx serve 2 different functions, & both are pretty indispensable. If u carry thru w/my analogy of the carpenter that I used when teaching my course, no carpenter worth his/her salt would go to a building site w/only a hammer. The same is true of these utilities. BX ToolBox can get the information that Jamal's utility provides, but in a different format. It also gets object values, etc. Documentation is readable, if a little sparse, which Doug freely admits. Windig, though, is a really quick way to get a glance at the window hierarchy & path traversal. It really is not an either or situation. Both are extremely helpful & both should be a part of any scripter's arsenal. The JFWTechnical scripts, imo, don't provide any more/different information than the bx toolbox, & I therefore don't use that. 1 drawback of the bx toolbox is that it does significantly alter the fs default script behavior, & I've found that automatic fs updates won't work under those circumstances. Bummer! But so do the skype scripts, so...
