Hello: I'd like to get help with writing Jaws scripts. I'm a very basic beginner. One of the first things I'd like to learn is, how to make a noncustom window recognizable. Another thing I'd like to learn is, how to make jaws read information . Is there anyone who can get me started at least? Thanks in advanced, Ernest. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Farough" <David.Farough@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jawsscripts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, May 06, 2008 1:35 PM Subject: [jawsscripts] Re: Writing a script to read the title of awindow in the same app! > You might try testing the following functions to see if you can get to > the window. > > FindWindow > FindWindowByType > FindWindowWithClassAndId > > You might be able to use the WindowCreatedEvent to test for this window > using the GetWindowName function. > > David Farough > Application Accessibility Coordinator/coordonateur de l'accessibilit=E9=20 > Information Technology Services Directorate / > Direction des services d'information technologiques > Public Service Commission / Commission de la fonction publique > Email / Courriel: David.Farough@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Tel. / T=E9l: (613) 992-2779=20 > >>>> Jitendra <jeet.invincible@xxxxxxxxx> 05:02 am Tuesday, May 06, 2008 >>>> > Hello friends, in an app I am scripting, with MDI feature, it has one=20 > other window, other than its workspace windows, > that holds the info of the current status of the workspace windows in=20 > various small windows, > but it is docable, and contains other small windows with different ctrl > > ID's and names, and the value can be obtained by using getWindowName=20 > function, > what I want is: > while I stay in the main window, or the workspace, I press a key to get > > status of a particular window without going and coming back to where I > am. > Thank you. > __________=20 > View the list's information and change your settings at=20 > http://www.freelists.org/list/jawsscripts=20 > > > 100 Years Merits a Celebration! =20 > http://www.psc-cfp.gc.ca/100/index-eng.htm=20 > 100 ans, =E7a m=E9rite une c=E9l=E9bration! =20 > http://www.psc-cfp.gc.ca/100/index-fra.htm=20 > > __________ > View the list's information and change your settings at > http://www.freelists.org/list/jawsscripts > > > -- > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG. > Version: 7.5.523 / Virus Database: 269.23.9/1417 - Release Date: 5/6/2008 > 8:07 AM > __________ View the list's information and change your settings at http://www.freelists.org/list/jawsscripts
