Oh and just a quick PS to those who're discussing the horribly sluggish jaws responsiveness in the iTunes store portion of iTunes, I would share that in my view, this is not at all a problem introduced by BlindTunes scripts. Because I've not installed those, and the issue's been alive and quite annoyingly unwell for yonks without them! Seems to be worse in iTunes versions above 10.3, which is what I've just recently upgraded from. I.e. I've only got a core 2 duo 2.4GHZ laptop here, and using jaws12.0.1186, it can take like sometimes 10ish seconds for jfw to start responding to arrow presses, after the iTunes noise has indicated it's done it's refreshing thing. it's a real dog really. What I've done, to make the problem slightly more bearable, is, without BlindTunes instaled, if you open the default factory FS supplied jaws scripts, and look for the function: void function FocusChangedEventEx then scroll to the bottom of that function, and then move up a couple lines such that your on theEndIf line, just below the Refresh () line. I've inserted here, the following small snippet of code, (the conditional statement may not be at all necessary,) Which attempts to alert when it thinks the OSM has refreshed significantly for jfw to start responding again to virtual pc navigation. if IsVirtualPCCursor () then SayUsingVoice (VCTX_JAWSCursor, "Ready", Ot_String) return EndIf See if this helps? Although sometimes after it's told me it's ready, it might still be 2 seconds before I'll get joy with arrow keys. But, it's taken away a bit of the pain of trying to just hit upDown arrows to make it work, and potentially interrupting the smoothness of the refresh issue, thus potentially slowing down things and confusing jaws even more! And, can anyone please tell me, when in versions between iTunes 10.3, and 10.7, did they break having the songname, included in the actual button to play it, when searching through iTunes store song heading choices? Now, in jaws12 and iTunes 10.7, here I'm just hearing the beautifully uninformative, "unlabelled 0 button," whenever I hit QuickKey B, to jump between my song version choices! meaning I have to hit down arrow every time now, to hear the song's name, then up arrow back up again to the button, to hit spacebar to play it? Much less efficient than things used to be! grrrr! Man I don't know why they keep breaking these things. I presume it's an apple problem? Does this happen to others as well? meaning you get the annunciation "unlabelled 0 button," then the "$1.69 buy button?" As you hit B to move down the list of song offerings now? whereas before, you'd get the actual name of the song inside the button announcement. thanks much.
