Hi
No, it's not all the way in the back but on the arm of the loop road that is North of the lake.

About 1/2 of the way from the turn off of MLK to the dam, on the part of the loop that starts out North of the water, there is a parking area that is big enough for about 20 cars. There is a small dock there as well.
The url http://www.mapmyrun.com/us/lubbock-tx/canyon-lake-6-route-50417548 shows a map that runners use. The red and white square is the parking area. We stay on the road pavement, not the loop that is shown in red and may go along the stream that comes off of the water overflow.

The south arm of the loop road comes off of MLK just south of the water that goes along Canyon Lake Drive.

I might be confusing you more that necessary. As you go south on MLK, just past 19th St you would turn East (left) onto the North part of the loop.

If you are coming from the south: as you go North on MLK, you would cross over the water and turn to the right onto the North part of the loop road.

Let me know if anyone is still not sure and I'll look for another map.

Thanks
Jan

Hi Jan,

Do you mean the parking area by the water overflow at the far end of the loop?

Thanks,

We need some advanced birders to help find and id.

Lake Six is south of 19^th St. and east of Martin Luther King Drive. There is a two way loop road around the lake off MLK Dr.
