To the best of my knowledge, there is no longer a lake off Boles Road. When we
talk about birding it, we are simply driving Boles and birding from the road
(Fiddlewood to the east can be good, too). The property on either side is
private. Pull over to the side to stop and don’t block the road/traffic
(although there is very little traffic on these roads). They are both dirt
roads. On Google Maps, Boles Rd is also called CR 2800. It’s the segment btwn
50th St and CR 6500 (same with Fiddlewood/CR 2900). Hope this helps.

Hey Holly!
Can we get to Boles Lake off of 2800 or do you just pull over somewhere?
There was a gate at the turnoff that takes you to where I think the lake
would be.

Directions to Boles Rd:
Drive east down East 50th St, under Loop 289, then turn north (left) 1 mile
after the Lubbock City Limit sign. There is a place called Lubbock Advanced
Team Marine at the intersection.
I hope those directions and the attached screenshots from Google Earth get
you there. If not, feel free to email me.

Hi All,
I see these mentions of Boles Road and Boles Lake (or "Lake"), and I know
that some time ago someone posted directions to it. I would love to check
out the area, and would love it if someone could post directions again.
Thanks,
Bill
