Greetings All:
This is a reminder that there is a Birding Birds (and Friends) field trip
tomorrow morning. We meet - Saturday, 30 August 2014, at 8:00 AM at the
44th and University parking lot of the Lubbock Garden and Arts Center.
With the recent rains, things could be very interesting at the park.
On 6 September 2014, I will be leading a half-day field trip covering the
lower lakes of the Lubbock Canyon Lakes system. We will meet at the
MacKenzie Park horseshoe pits parking lot (the large parking area just
downstream (and across the overpass) from Joyland at 7:30 AM and will cover
MacKenzie Park, Mae Simmons Park, and Lake Six. Those who are interested
in extending the trip can join me for a trip out to Ransom Lake where we
will - after lunch at the cafe at the Ransom Lake turnoff - explore the
nature trail at the Ransom Lake Chapel and take a quick run around the lake.
