As an aside to everyone on the listserv - bird deaths due to feral cats are
not the circle of life. Feral cats are the #1 most invasive species on the
planet and cause more bird deaths worldwide than any other means. They also
kill countless native mammals, reptiles and amphibians, and invertebrates
and have caused the extinction of several species around the world.
Anything we can do discourage feral cats from as many areas as possible is
in wildlife's best interest.

Feral cats are not a native species in any ecosystem in the world. They
were bred and domesticated (like dogs) over thousands of years and do not
belong outside.
