Brad, it sounds like you had a wonderful trip! I bet you blessed many people
while you were there! Did you get a photo of the little Vervain hummingbird?

Yellow-faced Grassquits.
I saw a lot of good endemic birds like palmchats, Hispanolian lizard-cuckoo,
white-necked crows, bananaquits, Hispanolian woodpeckers, Vervain hummingbird
(2nd smallest in the world), white-tailed tropicbirds,and many others.
The area I go to has essentially no ebird records so it really is amazing
getting to participate in ebird and getting to be one of the only people
getting to mark what is there.
