Hi, This is becoming ridiculous. At our June board meeting we discussed and voted on our quarterly meetings being held at 7pm on the first Tues of each of these four months. Our president changed the time for the August public meeting to 6:30pm, without a vote. When questioned he stated several reasons: to give people time to chit chat etc before the presentation, and to enable the speaker to start on time (7pm) since he was driving in from Abilene and driving back to Abilene the same night. At our August board meeting the 6:30/7pm start time was discussed and the vice-president stated that the president would start the meeting at 6:30pm and say a few words and that we might start early, ie before 7pm. My points are: you cannot run public meetings like this ( two start times), you cannot change the time without a vote, you simply cannot be disrespectful of anybody's time. We are all busy and we need accurate information in order to plan our days. I know my tenure on the board is over, and I don't have a horse in this race, but really?
