I’m still on the quest for a green tailed towhee and male lazuli bunting but
had a couple FOS and a “hadn’t seen in over 30 years” bird.

Yellow billed cuckoo (hadn’t seen in over 30 years)
Overall a great morning and did this midwesterner’s heart good to be out
slinging around in flooded and marshy areas.
The flooded woods reminded me more of “home”.
