Thanks to Tess for the info about the Merlin Bird ID app. I did download it yesterday to Clarice's iPad Mini. It is found in the iPhone area of Apple's apps. You all may have seen Clarice's picture in the newspaper July 13. She entered the 'Fly Your Flag' contest, and won the iPad Mini. I don't speak much Apple, never had an Apple product before. We figured it out, set up the Apple ID, new email account, etc, and now it works. Now, we must be part of the younger generation again. The Merlin Bird ID app will come in handy. If you don't, it is available free for both android smart phones and iPhones. There are over 400 birds listed and it is easy to use. I think the bird sounds are really good as they are drawn from the extensive sound library at the lab. I downloaded my app from Google Play Store, but I don't know how people with iPhones do it.
