For decades, it seems, they have been trying to deny Tech Terrace Park's true
identity as a playa lake.
I guess that's why you have to have flood insurance if you live close by. It
was explained to me once that Tech Terrace Park is actually the overflow for
Maxey Park (if it should ever rain that hard). I have seen Tech Terrace park
flooded up to and into the street.
Curious to see who's there tomorrow. On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, 09:32:00 PM

That kinda boggles my mind! Thought the big drain they installed would have
kept that park from flooding. Wow. Thanks! -Holly

Is/was there standing water in Tech Terrace Park?! (I used to live on 24th and
Flint, right across the street from that park.)

I went back to Tech Terrace Park with better binoculars and light. Earlier I
reported 4 Blue-Winged Teals. Actually, one of them was (or is: they're still
there), a male Green-Winged Teal. The other three are Blue-Winged, male, male,
female.
