Whitney and I did some running around today for the City Nature Challenge.
We started at Lubbock Lake Landmark.which had the same highlights others
have already reported.
4 White-faced Ibis
2 Solitary Sandpipers
We did notice that one of the Ibises was significantly larger than the two
next to it. We weren't able to get close enough to see any markings, but
we thought it was interesting (see photos
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/76419178).
Next we went to the V8 Ranch and had a great time there.
3 (possibly 4) Bewick's Wrens
2 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers
2 Blue Grosbeak
2 Bullock's Orioles
1 Orchard Oriole
1 Osprey
1 Swainson's Hawk
1 Lincoln's Sparrow
1 Green-tailed Towhee
1 Ash-throated Flycatcher
On the way home we also saw a Blue Grosbeak on Olive Ave.
