yes but crop does reduce the MB count - which was good enough to get it out.

The image sent is 4607x2145 pixels, ending up as 2.75MB.
Crop does not reduce the pixel count.
The resize function is good for this.
Resize to 1000x750 will still be a clear picture, but much lower megabytes.
