[leasbirds] Re: Wood-Pewee Question

I looked at maps but its interesting how the range maps in iBird Pro,
Merlin, Cornell's All About Birds, and Sibley are all different for Eastern
Wood-Pewee. Cornell's All About Birds and Sibley put their migration range
really close to Lubbock. Hence my confusion...

Is eBird updating the checklists based on observations? Did someone decide
based on data that Eastern-Pewees should no longer be on our list? Why
doesn't that change during migration when even Cornell's map brings them
within range?

I am still left wondering, for a species like this that has a close
boundary to us, how is the rarity determined for an eBird checklist?
