While having a coffee on the patio, we were watching 2 Inca Doves when the
Mississippi Kites circled around.
Clarice had a cake of suet hanging in a wire basket. The Mocking Bird was
going nuts over it, maybe it contains an aphrodisiac.
A beautiful red House Finch tackled the thistle feeder. A Robin was keeping an
eye on things.
The Mississippi Kites motivated us to walk around Dupree Park pond, where we
saw several interesting birds.
A Grackle was chasing a Mississippi Kite. I could not track it and zoom at the
same time, so they are a bit distant in my photos. There were two Mississippi
Kites.
Several Barn Swallows were swooping around, two of them landed in the mud
shallows.
There were 2 Snowy Egrets, 2 Great Egrets, 2 Black-necked Stilts (they fly back
and forth across the pond, so could be more than 2), 2 American Avocets, a
Killdeer, a Robin.
Two Mourning Doves were across the street from our house.
