Attenzione che rimuovere DRM è un reato, anche abbastanza grave, in alcune
giurisdizioni, sicuramente in quella USA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act -
DMCA):

Principalmente (e forse quasi esclusivamente) in USA.

Eh "la democrazia più libera del mondo" come amano autodefinirsi, perché
non ne conoscono altre...

Per questo motivo non credo troverai mai alcuna distribuzione di Calibre
proveniente dagli autori del progetto che supporti la rimozione DRM.

Che io sappia, tutte lo supportano (anche quella in Ubuntu per esempio),
tramite plug-in non presente (ma aggiungibile)

Se si installa (e si usa) uno dei plugin forniti da terze parti che lo
fanno, lo si fa a proprio rischio e pericolo.

Come sempre. Anche quando esci di casa lo fai a tuo rischio e pericolo.
