Dear all,
Announcing a Certificate Course in Basic Ornithology: Research and
Conservation, which will be conducted at the Indian Institute of Science
Education and Research (IISER), Tirupati, on 11-13th December 2019. This
course is designed for Bachelors and Masters students who are interested in
pursuing a career in ornithology research. The Course will cover a range of
topics on Avian Biology, Conservation and Research Methods at an
introductory level. It will be conducted as a mix of lectures, paper
readings & discussions, and short projects.
This course is free for participants, but spaces are limited, and applicants
will be selected based on their responses on the application form

Travel support is available for those who need it.
Faculty include Dr VV Robin, Dr Mousumi Ghosh, Dr R Jayapal, Dr Umesh
Srinivasan, and Dr Suhel Quader.
Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of
participation from the organizing institutions (below).
Please send in your application forms by 6th October 2019.

Please also note that this Course will be held immediately after the
National Symposium on Avian Biology, which will be held at Tirupati on 7-10
December 2019 (http://www.iisertirupati.ac.in/events/avianbiology/). Course
participants can use any travel support they receive to defray their
transport expenses, and are encouraged to attend the Symposium in addition
to the Course.
