*Description:*
Wildlife Institute of India is seeking interns to work in a project
“Understanding the Amur falcon *Falco amurensis*, their stop-over sites in
Nagaland and their migratory routes for better conservation planning” for a
short term period from 20th October 2016 to 20th January 2017. The
internship period coincides with the arrival of Amur Falcons in the
northeast region of India. The interns will be required to carry out field
surveys for Amur falcons and monitor and map their roost sites in Nagaland.
The interns will also be required to collect falcon regurgitates for prey
identification, collect information on termites and document their
emergence pattern in the region. In order to meet living expenses (food and
accommodation) a sum of Rs. 5000/intern will be provided from the project
and all local travel expenses will also be covered under the project.
*Essential Qualifications: *
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree preferably in Life Sciences/Environmental
Sciences/Wildlife Science
*Desired Qualifications: *
1. Good Computer & Communication Skills
2. Knowledge of using Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
3. Good physical fitness

Fluency in written and spoken English
