Hi,
I am a first year graduate student in the Committee on evolutionary biology
at the University of Chicago. I will be starting my field work in mid-April
in Eastern Himalayas on the mid-elevational peak in bird species diversity.
I am looking for one field assistant for a period of two and a half months
(mid-April to June) to help me with fieldwork in Chapramari Wildlife
Sanctuary and Neora Valley National park. The fieldwork will have many
components including insect sampling, catching birds and carrying out
insect feeding experiments.
I want to hire someone who will be willing to work semi-independently and
would maintain good observation records. The specifics of the job will be
worked out based on the person's previous research experience.
All the food, lodging and transportation costs will be covered for the
duration of the project and I will be happy to pay a suitable amount as
salary as well.
