Are you interested in helping us conduct field work to study wild otters in
rural India? CWS India is looking for volunteers to help with the
ecological component of a research project on otters in Madhya
Pradesh.Volunteer
duties would involve conducting sign surveys along stream segments and
setting up camera traps.This opportunity would give participants valuable
experience in wildlife surveys and statistical data collection.Candidate
Requirements
1. Must be able to communicate in Hindi.
2. Must be willing to work in remote locations with basic food,
accommodation and little to no access to network.
3. Must be physically fit as the role will require walking over difficult
terrain.
4. Preferable but not mandatory: A bachelor’s degree in biological sciences
(environmental science, life sciences, wildlife biology, zoology. etc) or
past experience with similar projects.
Place: Balaghat District, MP
Minimum duration: 2 weeks
Food, lodging and transportation within the field site will be covered.To
