*1. The Markandaiah Small Grants Program *
The Markandaiah Small Grants Program offers funding for early stage
conservation projects focused in the Western Ghats. The program intends to
be a catalyst in bootstrapping new projects and early careers. Two
conservation focused projects will be funded through the program for an
amount of INR 5,00,000 each.* Please view** the attached document for more

*2. Postdoctoral Fellowship*
We are seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to join a collaborative
social science research project between the centre for wildlife studies and
Colorado state university. The project will focus on examining gender and
conservation leadership in India. We anticipate that the majority of the
research will be done using online technologies, but there may be an
opportunity for travel. *Please view the attached document for more

*3. Trainer - Wild Surakshe, a public health and safety program*
The candidate will be a part of CWS’ Public Health and Safety Program -
Wild Surakshe. The primary objective will be to conduct workshops on public
health and safety for local and remote communities located around wildlife
reserves in Goa. This is a field-based position and the candidate will be
required to stay at field sites for extended periods of time.
Responsibilities:
1.
Conducting workshops on public health and training
2.
Conducting field surveys and participant interviews
3.
Supporting the field and research teams in data collection, entry and
organization
4.
Supporting the field team in training new Wild Surakshe field team
members
5.
Travel and stay in remote locations in Goa
6.
Logistical support to field teams
Required Skills:
1.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is mandatory
2.
Verbal and written proficiency in Konkani
3.
Excellent communication and public speaking skills
Prefered Skills:
1.
Two and Four wheeler drivers license
2.
Prior experience in public speaking
3.
Prior experience in engaging with local and remote communities
