Subject: Looking for a campaigner to work on Pollution issues in HP
Dear friends
Himdhara Environmental Research and Action Collective (www.himdhara.org) is
working in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh industrial area (near Chandigarh)
with the pollution affected communities to raise awareness on environmental
laws, people's rights and legal remedies. Working closely with local
villagers, community leaders to pressurise government officials is a part of
our methodology. We are looking for an activist/campaigner to lead the field
activities based in Baddi/Nalagarh. The person should have at least 2 years
experience in community mobilisation and should be willing to work in
challenging situations that exist on the ground at least for the coming two
years. A knowledge of Hindi and English is expected. Experience of working on
pollution related or environment issues is preferred. Remuneration would be
