Dear all,
I request you to kindly circulate the details to your subscribers.
I'm looking for graduates who have training in environmental
studies/sociology/interdisciplinary studies and are keen on working around
human-large mammal conflict. I'm leading a project on understanding
human-elephant conflict in the North Bengal region through an
interdisciplinary lens.
The study focuses on six protected areas of the flood plains of North
Bengal and the mixed matrix connecting these fragmented forests.
The potential candidate should be comfortable with these key
responsibilities:
• Conducting the questionnaire surveys in the tea gardens and forest
villages.
• Data entry (and cleaning)
• Fluency in Hindi and/or Bengali/Nepali
• Little experience with questionnaire surveys
• Ability to work independently (MUST know how to cook)
• Must be available for a minimum of 1 month, beginning from March 2023
• The ability to drive a four-wheeler will be a bonus
