Dear All,
An internship opportunity is available at Dr. Jagdish Krishnaswamy's lab,
Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE),
Bangalore, starting in August 2018.
1. The intern / assistant will help with data entry and processing,
database management, and laboratory setup. Comfort with the use of
Microsoft Excel or any other spreadsheet software, is the only requirement
of the position.
*2. The position will be for one month, starting at the earliest possible
time in August 2018.*
3. Undergraduate *students from Bangalore or currently residing in
Bangalore* can apply.
4. The internship will necessarily entail working from ATREE's office
everyday, and so a *candidate who can travel easily from their residence in
Bangalore to ATREE office in Jakkur, North Bangalore, will be preferred.*
5. *Stipend will be basic but according with candidate's qualification.*

Note that this short-term internship position is ideal for gap-year
students or freshly graduated students awaiting admission for postgraduate
studies. It is also a great opportunity to learn the basics of river
hydrology, ecological flow regimes, and their relevance to the ecology and
conservation of endangered riverine wildlife, such as gharials and river
