*Internship opportunity at WWF-India, Terai Arc Landscape-Bihar*
*Duration:* 2-4 months
*Responsibilities:*
- Intern will Assist the Project Officer – Species conservation, Species
and landscape programme for activities related to tiger monitoring in and
around Valmiki Tiger Reserve.
- Lead camera trapping and line transect sampling in the field, in close
coordination with the Forest department.
- Carry out habitat surveys and other biological monitoring as specified
by the field teams.
- Work with other programme teams, especially the communities’ teams as
and when required.
- Intern shall prepare and submit a report on the work as instructed.
The intern will be primarily based at Bettiah/Valmiki Tiger Reserve in
Bihar during the period of internship. The intern will be responsible for
carrying out activities related to Tiger conservation in Terai Arc
Landscape.
*Requirements: *
- Candidates with a Bachelor's/Master's degree in
Biology/Zoology/Botany/Environmental
Science preferred.
- Excellent command over Hindi and English language skills.
Note: The work involves intensive field work in a rural orthodox landscape,
interns are required to have a presence of mind about their surroundings.
Interns are also required to be physically and mentally fit to perform
intensive fieldwork.
