Dear all,
I am a PhD student at Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal. I am
looking for one field assistant /volunteer to help me with fieldwork in
Bhopal. I will be carrying out field work from November on wards for at
least three months in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on interactions between
pollinators and crops.
The fieldwork will have various components like social surveys with the
local people and collecting information related to the crop, field surveys,
data collection for insect pollinators and pest sampling, putting up
traps for insect collection, carrying out field experiments, bird
population estimation.
An ideal candidate will have some experience of insect sampling and
identifying
insects up to the order level and also have some knowledge of identifying
birds at species level.
Candidate requirements:
· Preferably hold a bachelors or masters degree in biological
sciences.
· Must have good communication skills in Hindi.
· Driving license for two-wheeler (with gear).
Volunteers will have to make their own arrangement for accommodation.
Local transportation cost during the fieldwork will be covered for the
duration of the project and I will be happy to provide a small stipend as
well.
