Dear Members,
I am a Sustainable Living Fellow at Bhoomi College, and I wanted to share
with you an opportunity to listen to and interact with some of the pioneers
in the area of sustainability, climate change education & environmental
economics. To name a few:
- *Sonam Wangchuk *- Co-Founder of SECMOL, Ladakh and Ramon Magsaysay
award recipient
- *Devinder Sharma* - Award winning journalist, writer and thinker,
dubbed as "Green Chomsky" of India
- *Aseem Shrivastava* - Emionent environmental economist, activist and
co-author of the book Churning the Earth - Making of Global India
- *Rebecca Martusewicz *- Professor at Eastern Michigan University and
pioneer in Ecojustice Education
*The Event: *Bhoomi Network along with Local Futures is hosting the
conference titled "*In Search of Wellbeing"*, the conference is themed
on *Decoding
Economics and Rethinking Education*. More than 15 pioneers and
practitioners from across the world will be speaking at the conference on
critical issues in economics and education and alternatives that can lead
us towards a sustainable future.
*When & Where: *28th & 29th September, 2019 (Saturday & Sunday) at Sathya
Sai Samskruta Samadan, Hosur Road (Near Forum Mall)
*Attend:* We would like to encourage academicians and climate enthusiasts
who would be interested in the conversation around sustainability,
