The Centre for Wildlife Studies is looking for multiple enthusiastic,
passionate and motivated educators to teach in the conservation programme
for school students aged 9-13 living near wildlife reserves. Working with
students is a key feature of the position and includes conducting
presentations and leading interactive games and activities like art and
story-telling. Candidates will be trained in the innovative teaching
methods used in the program.
Roles and Responsibilities of an educator:
1) Delivering daily education programs in schools
2) Planning learning activities based on the needs of your group and
specific individual needs within the group
3) Contributing to the design of the course curriculum
4) Extensive on-site field work 6 days a week
Background Requirements:
1) Fluency in Kannada
2) Education/Biology/Environmental Science Background and knowledge of
natural history
3) Experience working in teams
4) Comfortable with public speaking
5) Experience with kids
Preferred (but not required):
1) Has a valid 4W drivers license
