Greetings from *CERE*!
We are pleased to announce that CERE is conducting a one day Seminar
on *“Achieving
a new governance model through Participatory Mapping”* by *Carolina
Monteiro de Carvalho, *the* 2019 Award Recipient of the International
Society for Participatory Mapping (ISPM).*
*Carolina *is a Post Doc student at the Faculty of Public Health,
University of São Paulo, with a research project entitled “Participatory
Geographic Information System for Socio-Environmental Governance”, with
research period at Aalto University, Espoo, Finland. She also holds a PhD
in Environmental Planning at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro
(UFRJ), with a sandwich period at the Royal Institute of Technology
(Kunliga Tekniska Hogskolan - KTH), in Stockholm, Sweden, researching the
sustainable expansion of palm oil biodiesel in Pará, Brazil, in degraded
areas, and related impacts.
