*Please circulate the following circular about an online programme tonight
(26-4-2023) to mark International Flamingo Day-2023*
Dear Nature -lovers,
Every year, 26th April is observed as International Flamingo Day.
Foundation for Ecological Welfare (FEW) , a not-for-profit foundation has
planned to mark the day by arranging two online talks on flamingos from 8
pm onwards. One of the talks will be delivered by Mr. Gaurav Sirola, a
Doctoral Scholar (Wildlife Institute of India) doing research on flamingos
in Kachchh, Gujarat, India. The other talk will be delivered by a retired
Chief Conservator of Forests, Gujarat Forest Department Mr. Uday Vora, IFS
who had significantly contributed to flamingo studies in Rann of Kachchh
and other areas of Gujarat, India. The whole online programme may take
about an hour.
Anyone who wishes to attend this online programme(consisting of the two
talks) should send a request for getting the web-link by emailing to
few.ecology@xxxxxxxxx. There is NO registration fee! The email request can
be sent till 6 pm on 26th April. The programme will start at 8 pm on the
same day.
