Dear friend-
India's Western Ghats is a priceless treasure trove of biodiversity.
It is also the birth place of major river systems that provide water
for irrigation, drinking and sanitation to over 200 million people.
Although large sections of the Western Ghats have been devastated, the
Government of India has identified and notified 56,825 square
kilometres as Ecologically Sensitive Areas, which will get better
protection.
We request you to immediately lend your support to this notification
by writing to the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change.
Your help is crucial.
