*Volunteer with the Centre for Wildlife Studies: Small carnivore ecology
research*

Centre for Wildlife Studies is looking for a volunteer to be based in the
Kodagu district in Western Ghats, and help manage the daily activities of
its research project on small carnivore ecology.

Available position: 1

Responsibility: Manage daily activities and logistics for field research on
small carnivore ecology

Location: Kodagu, Western Ghats

Requirements: The candidates must be -

1.       Prepared commit at least three months to the project.

2.       Physically fit to walk in rugged terrain, for extended hours.

3.       Ability to speak Kannada fluently.

Preference will be given to candidates who have prior field research
experience, and are comfortable with the use of compass, GPS and camera
traps. Ability to ride a motorbike on hill roads will be an added benefit.

Interested candidates should send an email mentioning the intent of
applying for the position, along with their resume, to devcharan@xxxxxxxxx with
the subject line "Field Research Volunteer – February 2015".

NOTE: The volunteer period will be for a minimum of three months
(extendable as per requirement and mutual interest). This will be an unpaid
field-based position. Travel expenses from Bengaluru to the field site and
back, food and basic field accommodation will be covered by the project.
