About Us: The Wildlife Conservation Society-India works to conserve
wildlife, backed by science. We work in partnership with governmental and
non-governmental organizations to deal with conservation challenges such as
human-wildlife interaction, voluntary relocation of people from protected
forest areas, combating wildlife trafficking, conservation of endangered
species, and so on. Committed to wildlife conservation and the ecological
world view that recognizes the inextricable link between human welfare and
protection of wildlife and wild spaces, WCS-India endeavors to inspire
positive attitudes in people towards wildlife



About Project: WCS-India has initiated a project called Counter Wildlife
Trafficking (CWT), which seeks to build capacity amongst law enforcement
agencies and the judiciary to combat wildlife trafficking in India. The
project aims to improve India’s detection and enforcement agencies’
capacity to investigate, arrest, prosecute, convict and sentence criminal
organizations that perpetrate wildlife trafficking. To this end, WCS-India
will conduct capacity building workshops for various stakeholders involved
in investigation, enforcement and prosecution including the Forest
Department, Police, Customs officials, Directorate of Enforcement, public
prosecutors, judiciary etc.



Job responsibilities:

1. Schedule, coordinate and organize training and other project events.

2. Coordinate with project partners, trainers, and internal capacity
building team to plan training.

3. Prepare detailed training proposals (including timelines, venues,
suppliers, budgets), if required.

4. Manage and coordinate suppliers and all training and project event
logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel, etc.)

5. Compile project data and prepare progress reports.

6. Maintain records of Wildlife Trade published in Newspapers (Old and New).

7. Coordinate with enforcement agencies in supporting them in following up
on the cases.

8. Coordinate and provide support in management and monitoring the progress
of the project.

9. Provide technical/administrative support to the team as and when
required.

10. Any other task as assigned by the manager.



Essential Qualification, Skills & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and 1-2 years of experience in a
similar role.

· Excellent planning, time management, problem-solving, and organizational
abilities.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in Telugu and
any Southern regional language will be strongly preferred.

· Time-management skills and ability to work under pressure.

· Proactive, take initiative, and self-motivate.

· Basic computer literacy and verse with MS Office.

· Interest in wildlife and its conservation will be an advantage.

· Willing to travel extensively.



Desirable Qualifications:

· Experience in technical report writing.

· Working experience in handling project logistics
