About us: The Wildlife Conservation Society-India works to conserve
wildlife, backed by science. We work in partnership with governmental and
non-governmental organizations to deal with conservation challenges such as
human-wildlife interaction, voluntary relocation of people from protected
forest areas, combating wildlife trafficking, conservation of endangered
species and so on. Committed to wildlife conservation and the ecological

positive attitudes in people towards wildlife
About project: The Counter Wildlife Trafficking Program of Wildlife
Conservation Society-India, is looking for two trainers, who will primarily
be responsible for coordinating and conducting training on anti-wildlife
trafficking. This will include managing WCS-India’s wildlife trafficking
training dossiers, reports and other outputs as needed. He/she will also
support other project activities as required.
Required Qualification, skills & abilities:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in preferably Biology or other
environmental field(s), Arts or Mass Communication or at least two years of
training experience in training on wildlife and related issues/topics.
- Basic computer literacy skills and expertise, and familiarity with MS
Office
- Prior experience in training, preferably in regards to wildlife,
wildlife trade or similar field
- Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information and
attention to detail in managing data
- Good English (Reading, Writing, Spoken), Hindi (Spoken, Reading) and
Bengali skills (reading, spoken)
- Ability to work independently, excellent problem-solving skills and
critical thinking.
- Should be a team player and a quick learner.
- Passionate about wildlife
- Willing to travel to remote locations for 1-3 weeks each month,
depending on project needs
- Has a valid driver’s license and can drive 4-wheeler vehicles
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist to create training schedules and content.
- Co-ordinate, conduct and organize trainings for Counter Wildlife
Trafficking Program of Wildlife Conservation Society-India
- Track and Compile reports, dossiers and other required
outputs/outcomes on anti-wildlife trafficking activities of CWT program
- Inform participants for the training schedules, provide
session/participant feedback to management.
- Assist with all other counter‐wildlife trafficking activities as
required
- Any other task/work as assigned by the manager.
Compensation: Offered as per the qualification and experience.
