The India UK Water Centre is hosting a webinar on two pump priming projects
that it convened in the Indian Sundarbans, in response to the considerable
water resources challenges that the people living on these islands face on
a day to day basis. The two pilot projects arose from the critical finding
from the first IUKWC Grassroots Field Exposure Session held in the
Sundarbans that there is very little understanding of both freshwater and
ground water resources currently and under climate change conditions; this
lack of information is exacerbating planning for water security.
