Real numbers are more like UK had 10 million or more receivers sold at the end of 2005 with 5.8 million households who SOLELY relied on FREEVIEW. If you apply the percentage of household figure to the 10 million receivers you can safely say that about 580,000 new households were added to the SOLELY figure making it 6,380,000 and who knows how many other households have FREEVIEW receivers and cable or satellite but it a lot. A lot more than the 6.5 million they forecast as OTA households. After you subtract out the household that SOLELY rely on OTA and also have more than one receiver you only have satellite and cable households left. So what percentage of 4.2 million receivers are multiples in OTA ONLY UK households? The rest are in satellite and cable households and should be counted in the number of OTA households. Most likely around three million. Then of course you have to subtract out the number of satellite and cable homes who have multiple OTA receivers. Say we end up with at least 2 million more OTA households or 8.5 million instead of 6.5 million. 1.73 million for France not 1.1 million at the end of 2005 with 3 million estimated for 2006 (I expect 4.5 million) Spain 850,000 not 700,000. Sweden and the Netherlands correct.
