Actually I've purchased a half dozen PCHD cards. The last couple (MyHD
and F3Q) can even do trick play real time time shifting like Tivo.
And the hardware decoding MyHD would even work fine in a very
inexpensive computer these days.

But everyone always discounts the PC stuff, so I don't include it in my
usual comparisons. We will see what is actually available for non-PC
usage as 2009 comes around.

- Tom (who will nonetheless stick with HTPC's)
