Even without GPS phones and computers are constantly broadcasting their
presence.   Think of the guys on beaches using metal detectors to find
lost rings, change, and such.  You would imagine there would be a market
for a small portable detector that finds lost phones for collection,
return, or resale.   I'll bet these days you could walk around most
anywhere and find some if you had the right gadget.  People lose phones
all the time. 

It could be a new hobby, Finder of Lost Phones.  ;-)
