In a way, too bad it had to be California. The whacked out extremists will
immediately discredit the new bill. And it is extremists, or crooks, involved
in the neutrality repeal farce. I’m pretty sure even Trump could not support
such an anti-business measure as non-neutral telecom services. Plus, he needs
to understand that it wasn’t lunatic libertarian extremists that voted him in
office in the first place. Remember that those guys, within the Republican
Party, wanted him out.
Now I’m waiting for the real irony to unfold. I’m waiting for our current phony
baloney FCC to rule that California can’t do this, because the FCC’s rules are
supposed to override state laws, IN ORDER TO PROMOTE INTERSTATE COMMERCE. Like,
non-neutral telecoms promote open commerce of any kind.
I’d love to see them try this, so some other court can laugh at them again. As
they did when the FCC attempted to work on behalf of robocalls, all the while
pretending they were keeping regular people from being incarcerated for dialing
numbers from the contacts list on their iPhones.
We need the momentum to continue. Better yet, Trump should pay attention to
this problem, understand that net neutrality has nothing to do with the
fairness doctrine or “fake news,” and finally boot the scoundrels out of
offices they can’t run properly.
