The way I see it, those entrusted wirh the public spectrum have obligations, 
such as time for political programming (that you dislike, but I think is 
essential), and they SHOULD also make it as self-sustaining as possible. It 
would be plain stupid to just support the use of this public spectrum with tax 
dollars, when this is not necessary.

I just don't see how they have the right to do this, especially when we're 
talking spectrum that has traditionally been allocated for FOTA radio and TV. 
Even IF they gave themselves that right for distributing the rights to 
previously unallocated spectrum.

In other words, there's still plenty of room for unbridled greed, Craig. You 
don't need to give it all away.
