Would be nice to have competition for cable and satellite like this in 
the US.

All it would take is allowing COFDM.

But even in a COFDM country like OZ restrictive laws on who can deliver 
what content and how hobble the DTV transition. You need both the 
content and a good modulation. Then all else will happen.

Of course in the US there are no restrictions on content delivery so all 
we need is a decent modulation.
