And 121.5 is the ninth harmonic of 13.5 MHz, the pixel rate of SDTV... ! 
With increasing penetration of DTV we may expect more of this. Ouch. 

Maybe these boxes do not perform post-filtering on the analog output ? 
Or maybe this was just an incident, a malfunction, a loose ground, .. ?
