Yet another organization, eMotion engines, will be doing technology demonstrations. Yet another breakfast roundtable has been added, Merrill Weiss on the archive exchange format, AXF. And the first information on the supersession has leaked out.
It's called "Insight/Foresight: Visions of the Future," and among the presenters will be Chris Cookson, president of Sony Pictures Technology, Steven Weinstein, president of MovieLabs, the joint venture of the big-six Hollywood studios, Stephen Long, possibly the world's foremost expert on military imaging, and artist Kit Galloway, who, with partner Sherrie Rabinowitz, created Electronic Cafe International and the Hole-in-Space, among many other projects. Another speaker will explain how it might be possible to pull focus after material has already been shot.
