I already responded. But Hulu is NOT an existing MVPD. But they are owned by
three of the content congloms. They do not need to negotiate for the
programming rights...
They already control them.
The formula used by each OTT site, including prices and contents of the
bundles, will obviously have to vary from one to the other. Otherwise, what's
the point? But any old "contracts" that applied to legacy infrastructures
will simply be re-written.
If the FCC, DOJ, and the FTC allow Hulu to offer such a service. It could
happen with conditions, like requiring the congloms to offer the same networks
to Apple, et al, at non discriminatory prices - there is already an open
proceeding related to this (VMVPDs).
